Plane issues continue: Delta plane evacuates by emergency slides in Atlanta USA
A Delta plane was forced to use the emergency slides to evacuate passengers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Friday.
The Boeing 757 plane was taxiing for takeoff to fly from Atlanta (ATL) to Minneapolis-St when the incident occurred around 9:10am local time.
The evacuation was promoted by the indication of an engine issue the United States Federal Aviation Administration said.

“The crew of Delta Air Lines Flight 2668 aborted takeoff at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport around 9:05 a.m. local time on Friday, Jan. 10, due to a reported engine issue,” the FDA said in a statement.
“Passengers exited the aircraft on the runway.”
Footage of the incident has been uploaded to social media showing the passengers evacuating onto the snow covered tarmac.
Alison Wade — a passenger on the plane — described the incident in a video.
“2025 is absolutely no joke,” she said.
“There is smoke still billowing out of there.
“So now we are all standing out here we are in Atlanta standing waiting I don’t know whats going to happen.
“This is crazy.”
Delta also cancelled over 1000 flights on Friday due to “worse-than expected mix of winter weather”.
“The safety of Delta customers and employees is our primary focus as we manage disruptions to our operation,” they continued in a statement on Friday.
