Sally Grace Contarino: Chilling clue emerges after strange video of Aussie tourist who vanished in Las Vegas

The family of missing Australian Sally Grace Contarino have unveiled a potential new clue as police reveal details of the final social media message before her disappearance.

The 26-year-old Melbourne woman vanished while travelling alone in Las Vegas, with the last known sighting of her captured by CCTV on June 20.

In the footage, Ms Contarino was seen leaving a Sky Canyon supermarket in the State’s north-west before she was expected to travel west towards Mount Charleston.

Alarm bells started ringing when Ms Contarino failed to board her scheduled flight back home to Australia the next day on June 21. She hasn’t been heard from since.

Now, Ms Contarino’s sisters, Lauren and Amy, who have travelled to Las Vegas to assist with the search, say US police are examining a social media message as a possible new lead.

In Ms Contarino’s final Facebook message, as revealed by investigators according to news.com.au, sent on June 19, she tells a male friend she had plans to hike Lone Mountain.

It is not known if she planned to set out on the trek alone or with someone else.

In the wake of the message revelation, Lauren said it provides a hopeful clue in the ongoing mystery.

“She was definitely on the mountain,” Lauren said on social media.

“It’s confirmed she did make it for her walk up there. We don’t know if someone picked her up afterwards, it’s possible.”

Her family provided another possible lead on Facebook, saying a citrine pendant on a silver chain that Ms Contarino often wore was unable to be located, despite them having access to her luggage which was left at her accommodation.

They urged people to keep an eye out for the the necklace, designed by Bali-based jeweller John Hardy, as it could help solve the case.

“If Sally was wearing the necklace, someone may have seen it, found it, or come across it without realising its significance,” they wrote in their post.

“It may also be worth keeping an eye on online marketplaces such as eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, and similar sites.

“Every detail, no matter how small, could be important.”

Another video, captured by Instagram creator @epicDamianpov, who is known for filming himself asking women for their phone number, began circulating online earlier this month.

In the clip, filmed outside a 7-Eleven on Boulder Highway in Las Vegas using Meta smart glasses, Ms Contarino is approached by the content creator as she smokes a cigarette.

“Sorry, I saw that you were very beautiful and I was wondering if I could get your number, by chance?” he asks

To which Ms Contarino replies: “I have a boyfriend.”

After a brief exchange, the man returns to his car and later uploads the footage with the caption: “Trying to pick up a beautiful woman.”
