The information comes as the search for Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old kidnapped mother enters its second week.

Details of American television star Savannah Guthrie’s life in Australia have resurfaced as the search for her kidnapped mother continues in the United States.
The host of NBC show Today — who has been living a “nightmare” since her 84-year-old mother Nancy was abducted on February 1 —was born in Melbourne in 1971.
She lived with her family in the leafy bayside suburb of Beaumauris, before relocating back to the United States as a toddler.

The pair visited the room where Nancy gave birth at Sandringham Hospital and even toured the Victoria house they once lived in.
Speaking about the visit on the Today Show more than a decade ago, Nancy said she felt so lucky to be able to go back to Australia and reflect on those early years with her daughter.
“Oh my god, it was wonderful. I couldn’t believe we were able to do this!” she said.
Savannah said the visit to Australia sparked great memories of her childhood.
“My memories that my family had here in Australia comes flooding back to me,” she said at the time.
The trip back to Australia will no doubt be a memory Savannah holds close to her heart as the search for her mother intensifies.
Nancy vanished more than a week ago from her home in Arizona, prompting a major police investigation and repeated public appeals from her high-profile daughter.
She was last seen at her property on January 31 and reported missing the next day after not attending church.
Authorities believe Nancy was taken from her home against her will, with her doorbell camera disconnected in the early hours of Sunday morning and DNA tests revealing her blood was found on the front porch.
Despite the scale of the investigation, police say they have not identified any suspects, persons of interest or vehicles linked to the case.
As the search continues, authorities and media outlets including TMZ have received multiple ransom messages — believed to be connected with her disappearance.
The final deadline has already passed, without any proof of Nancy still being alive.
However, the Pima Country Sheriff’s Department said it was pursuing “new leads”.
“The investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance remains active and ongoing.”
The mysterious disappearance has shocked people across the world, grabbing the attention of President Donald Trump and online sleuths who’ve flooded social media with tips, theories and rumours.
In a raw Instagram video shared with her millions of followers, Savannah thanked supporters from around the world.
“I just want to say first of all thank you so much for all of the prayers and the love that we have felt — my sister and brother and I — and that our mum has felt,” she said.
“Because we believe that, somehow, some way, she is feeling these prayers, and that God is lifting her even in this moment.”
