A Hollywood actor has died after he was allegedly stabbed to death in his front garden by his girlfriend's son.

Hollywood actor James Handy has died at the age of 81, with police alleging he was stabbed to death in his front garden by his girlfriend’s son.
Police were called to a property in the Tarzana neighbourhood of Los Angeles on Wednesday morning after a man called emergency services saying, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Officers arrived at the scene to find Mr Handy unconscious in the front yard of the Erwin Street property with multiple stab wounds to his chest.

Authorities have arrested 44-year-old Michael Gledhill, who is the son of Mr Handy’s girlfriend and was reportedly living at the home, Los Angeles Times reports.
A media release, cited by Los Angeles Times, said Mr Gledhill flagged down responding officers to tell them he was the suspect they were looking for.
Mr Gledhill has been charged with murder and is being held on a USD$2 million bail while officers investigate the crime.
Mr Handy was best-known for his on-screen appearances in the hit films Top Gun: Maverick and Jumanji.
His acting career kicked off in the 1970s and spanned nearly five decades. He has more than 150 screen credits to his name, according to IMDb.
Mr Handy also appeared in several TV series including Law & Order SVU, NCIS: Los Angeles, and K-911.
Detectives said there was no ongoing threat to the public.
