US plane crash death toll rises: Dominique Goods-Burke dies after fighting for life for three months

An eighth person has died from injuries sustained after a medical jet crash near Philadelphia’s Roosevelt Mall earlier this year.
Dominique Goods-Burke, 34, a mother of three and beloved local bakery supervisor, passed away on April 27 after battling critical injuries for three months.
She had been hospitalised since January 31, when a Learjet 55 crashed shortly after takeoff from Northeast Philadelphia Airport.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.The aircraft was en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri with six passengers aboard. The crash killed seven people, including six returning to Mexico and one US citizen, according to reports from People.
Ms Goods-Burke was not on the plane, but in a nearby vehicle with her family when the jet came down, igniting their car.

Her fiancé, Steven Dreuitt, 37, was killed at the scene.
His son survived with injuries, while Ms Goods-Burke suffered burns to 70 per cent of her body.
According to her cousin, she had been in a medically induced coma and was initially responding to treatment.
Ms Goods-Burke had been on her way to Macy’s at the time of the crash.
“Dominique was a fighter until the end of her 3-month battle with her injuries and related health concerns. We will miss her kind smile, beautiful spirit, and heart full of love”, read a tribute posted on Instagram by the café where she worked as the day bake supervisor.
The crash remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
