US President Donald Trump disses Taylor Swift at Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl celebration at White House

It seems the US President still hasn’t forgiven Taylor Swift for her election snub, with Donald Trump making clear they’ve still got ‘bad blood’ at an NFL press conference.
Mr Trump sparked up his feud with the pop superstar on Monday, when The Philadelphia Eagles visited the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl LIX win.
While praising star running back Saquon Barkley and co for their 40-22 win over Kansas City Chiefs, Mr Trump found the perfect opportunity to squeeze in a little dig at Swift, also a former Eagles fan.

“The Eagles punched their ticket to a Super Bowl rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs, and you know what happened, it was an incredible game,” Mr Trump said at the festivities.
“A little surprising, but right from the beginning of the first quarter of the big game, which I was there, I watched in person. I was there along with Taylor Swift; how did that work out?”
“How did that one work out, the Eagles scored a touchdown on their signature play the ‘Tush Push’.”
Trump looked up and smirked as he gave the dis, with the crowd erupting in laughter in response.
He seems to enjoy having a dig at Swift, on Super Bowl Sunday he also took to his social platform Truth Social to comment on her being booed.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” he wrote.
Swift made an enemy of Mr Trump when she publicly backed “warrior” former vice president Kamala Harris in the race to the White House.
Swift shared a photograph of her, along with her cat, in an Instagram post, telling her 283 million followers that she was endorsing Ms Harris.
“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” she wrote at the time.
Within the post Swift also referred to the recent controversy surrounding AI using her image to falsely endorse the Trump campaign, encouraging her loyal fans to “combat misinformation” with “the truth”.
Swift also signed off the post “with love and hope” from Taylor Swift, “Childless Cat Lady”.
The sign-off was a swipe at Mr Trump’s running mate JD Vance, who in a 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson lamented the fact that the US was being run by “childless cat ladies”.
In response, Mr Trump simply posted to Truth Social in all caps, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT”. And nothing seems to have changed yet.
