Man dies after falling off motorbike on Canberra highway off-ramp

The young man was rushed to hospital with critical injuries but couldn’t be saved.

A 28-year-old man has died after a motorbike crash in Canberra about 5.50pm on Friday.

He was heading onto Gungahlin Dr using the Barton Hwy off-ramp when he fell from his motorbike, ACT Policing said.

The man suffered critical injuries, and was given first aid by witnesses until ACT Ambulance paramedics arrived.

He was taken to hospital, but died of his injuries shortly after his arrival.

Investigations are ongoing.
