Annmarie O’Reilly identified as woman killed in Ferntree Gully home
Tributes have flowed for the young mum-of-three a man was charged with her murder.
Tributes have flowed for a young mother-of-three who was found dead inside a Melbourne home, with a 45-year-old man charged with murder.
Annmarie O’Reilly, 30, was found at a property on Ferntree Gully Rd in Melbourne’s southeast shortly before 10am on Friday.
Police were called to the home and discovered the woman’s body inside.

A 45-year-old Ferntree Gully man Patrick Stokes was arrested nearby and has since been charged with one count of murder.

He appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court via audiovisual link on Friday evening and was remanded in custody.
He is due to face court again on February 23, 2027.

Police say O’Reilly and the man were known to each other.
Homicide Squad detectives attended the property and examined the scene as investigations into O’Reilly’s death continue.
O’Reilly’s death has prompted an outpouring of grief from family and friends, who have remembered her as a much-loved sister and devoted mother.

Her brother paid tribute to her in a heartbreaking social media post, struggling to come to terms with the loss of his sister.
“Really can’t believe it Rest it peace to my beautiful Sister Annmarie,” he wrote.
“The nicest women you’d meet the best Mother to her kids may you get the Best bed in Heaven my beautiful Sister love you so much fly High.”
Her parents also shared an emotional tribute to their daughter, calling her a “beautiful daughter,” on social media.

O’Reilly is the 46th woman in Australia this year to allegedly be killed in a domestic violence incident.
