Caboolture: 15-year-old boy dies in hospital after horror e-scooter, truck crash in Queensland

A 15-year-old boy has died following a collision between an e-scooter and a truck in Caboolture last week.

The incident occurred around 7.20pm on October 4, when a Hino 300 truck and an e-scooter collided at the intersection of George Street and Mill Road.

The boy, a Caboolture local and the rider of the e-scooter, was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in critical condition.

Sadly, the boy succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital.

The truck’s occupants were not harmed in the crash.

Investigators from the forensic crash unit are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident to come forward as they continue their inquiries.
