Emergency response after young woman allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint in southwest Sydney
A young woman has been held at gunpoint in an alleged kidnapping in Sydney’s southwest.
Police received a concern for welfare call about an incident involving a gun at about 5pm on Wednesday.
A 26-year-old man was allegedly armed with a firearm and was holding a 29-year-old woman, known to him, against her will.

About 8.45pm, the woman and man were found by police on Badgally Rd in Claymore.
The man was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station.
He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV), common assault and contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic).
He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Thursday.
It will be alleged in court the man assaulted the woman.
No firearm was located.
There is no ongoing risk to the public, police said.
