Vigilante spray paints cars parked across driveways on Sydney’s northern beaches
‘Not condoning it, but certainly understand the frustration.’
Bad parking can drive anyone mad, but on Sydney’s northern beaches, someone has taken their frustration to a whole new level by spray painting cars that park across driveways.
Tradie Rob Rakuc said the vigilante action has crossed a line after his ute was targeted in Freshwater.

But the person who spray painted Rakuc’s ute apparently believed he was the one overstepping the line when he parked his vehicle partially across a driveway on Moore Rd.
He returned to find a fluorescent stripe showing how much he had encroached.
“That’s annoying. You finish work and come to that,” he said.
And it seems the paint job’s there to stay, with Rakuc estimating it will cost a “couple hundred” dollars to fix.
Rakuc is not the only victim of the wannabe parking inspector, with a Tesla driver on the same street also given a spray.

Photos of the incident have racked up thousands of likes on social media.
“It’s quite amusing seeing the pink line going round and round on their back wheel as they were driving past,” local bottle shop owner Steve Woodley said.
“Not condoning it, but certainly understand the frustration.”
Woodley said parking is an ongoing issue in the area.
“A lot of the neighbours come here and frequent the pub a lot, so you hear a lot of their frustrations,” he said.
