Homebush crash: Man allegedly assaulted after 16-year-old driver hits a 17-year-old pedestrian in Queensland
Police are investigating a serious vehicle-pedestrian crash and subsequent assault that allegedly occurred on Saturday night.
Reports suggest that around 9.45pm, a white utility was seen driving dangerously along Homebush Road in Homebush, Queensland.
Shortly after, a red Mazda 3 travelling westbound struck a 17-year-old girl who was on the roadway.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.Following the collision, the Mazda continued briefly before stopping, at which point a group of people nearby allegedly approached and assaulted a 53-year-old male passenger.
Police arrived at the scene shortly afterwards, dispersing the crowd.
The 17-year-old Glenella girl was transported to Mackay Base Hospital, where she remains in serious but stable condition.
The 53-year-old man from Sarina who was allegedly assaulted was treated at the scene.
Three others in the Mazda, including a 16-year-old female driver, a 12-year-old boy, and a 56-year-old woman, were unharmed.
Police are calling for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam or CCTV footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
