Man dies while diving at Wolf Rock, Double Island Point

A man has died while diving at a popular Queensland tourist spot.

The diver in his 50s died during a dive at Wolf Rock, Double Island Point about 11.15am on Friday.

Police have asked anyone who locates dive equipment washed up on a beach or in water nearby, to come forward.

His death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

Wolf Rock, located off the coast of Rainbow Beach near Gympie, is a popular scuba diving and snorkelling site for experienced divers only, due to the depth and strong currents.
