A frozen McCain product sold at Coles and Woolworths has been recalled due to the potential presence of plastic.

McCain Foods Pty Ltd is conducting a recall of its Foods Pickers Nacho Cheese Triangles.

The impacted product has been available for sale at Woolworths, Coles and independent retailers including IGA and Drakes in NSW, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC and WA.

It has a best before date of either 20/09/25 and 25/09/25.

According to Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ), the product has been recalled due to the “potential presence of foreign matter (plastic)”.

“Food products containing plastic may cause illness/injury if consumed,” it said.

“Consumers should not eat this product.”

Those who have purchased the product have been urged to return it to its place of purchase for a full refund.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” FSANZ said.
