Missing Gold Coast magician Daniel Hidden found dead after extensive bushland search
More than 100 people, including Australian Defence Force personnel, combed rugged bushland for days following his disappearance.

A missing magician has been found dead after an extensive multi-agency search sparked widespread concern and an emotional public appeal from his family.
The body of Daniel Hidden, 26, was located about 11am on Wednesday following a search and rescue operation in bushland at Mount Cougal National Park in Currumbin Valley in the Gold Coast hinterland.
The operation was launched after Hidden’s silver Hyundai Santa Fe and Galaxy caravan were found parked near Currumbin Creek Rd two days after he was last seen leaving a Broadbeach address about 3am on June 14.

Australian Defence Force personnel joined the operation on Tuesday as authorities expanded efforts across the rugged and densely vegetated terrain.


His family remained at the search site throughout the operation and had earlier made an emotional appeal for his safe return.
Police said his death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding Hidden’s death are continuing.
