Ahmed Al Ahmed, the Bondi terror attack hero, has pleaded not guilty in a Sydney court to charges of assaulting his elderly father at their Bankstown home.

Bondi terror attack hero Ahmed al Ahmed has pleaded not guilty to assaulting his father amid a bitter family feud over millions of dollars in donations he received after his breathtaking bravery.

The 44-year-old was charged with one count each of assault and stalking/intimidating after an alleged argument with his father at a Sydney home on March 9.

Ahmed appeared before Bankstown Local Court today but refused to comment on the matter to waiting media.

His lawyer, Mohamad Sakr, instead told reporters Ahmed is a “heroic man and his honesty and dignity should be maintained until these matters ultimately are determined”.

“It’s been very difficult. It is a family situation that he never expected.”

The matter will return to court on December 3.

Ahmed’s brothers Hozifah and Sameh have been charged with threatening the Bondi hero unless he agreed to hand them a slice of the $2.6 million in donations he received after confronting Bondi gunman Sajid Akram in December last year.

Ahmed rose to global fame after footage emerged of him tackling and disarming Akram during the terror attack.

He has repeatedly proclaimed his innocence on the assault charge and claims his actions during the attack reflect his non-violent nature.

“I’m a very honest innocent and I am an honorable guy,” Ahmed told 2GB earlier this month after he was charged.

“When I disarmed the terrorist and (threw) his gun away, I didn’t hurt him ... I (have) never been violent.”
