The Mandurah music teacher who had a baby with the underage student she sexually abused has been pictured for the first time since details of her crimes emerged.
Naomi Takea Craig, 34, was photographed by The West Australian leaving Mandurah courthouse on Friday afternoon on the same day her sentencing date was confirmed and a number of other charges against her were dismissed.
The former Frederick Irwin Anglican School educator has not once been required to appear in court in person since she was arrested after having her 13-year-old victim’s child last year.

But the woman — who was already a mother to one other child before her arrest — was on Friday required to visit Mandurah Magistrates Court in person to re-sign her bail.
Her appearance was a world away from the woman who posed proudly in glamour shots while she was pregnant with her 13-year-old victim’s baby.
Craig’s long hair was dyed black, she wore a tan coloured hat pulled low over her eyes and large dark sunglasses to cover her face.
She sported dark activewear and ran when awaiting media asked if she had anything to say to the victim’s family or the school community.

Craig was accompanied by an older man who pushed The West’s photographer in the back before getting into a white Mitsubishi Pajero.
Craig is yet to plead to seven additional charges, and it was revealed at the district court on Friday that some charges would be dropped.
Those charges were not formally discontinued with registrar Lisel Avey suggesting they would be dealt with when she is sentenced on November 17.

Criminal defence lawyer Michael Tudori said discussions with the State about the outstanding charges were ongoing.
The court was also told the pre-sentencing reports — including a psychiatric report requested at her last appearance — were in the final stages of development.
Craig pleaded guilty to more than a dozen child abuse offences following a major police investigation into the persistent sexual abuse of her male student between 2024 and 2025.
Initially charged with four offences, Craig was hit with further charges after DNA testing revealed she had given birth to a baby fathered by her victim.

He was just 13 when she gave birth on January 8.
A school newsletter revealed Craig, who most recently taught under the surname Woods, was on maternity leave in December when she was arrested.
Outside court, Mr Tudori confirmed there were two charges against Craig being discontinued.
“Obviously, the conduct was over a period of time, we’re just fine-tuning what happened,” he said of the negotiations.
Craig’s bail was extended under the same conditions, which prevent Craig from having contact with any children other than her baby — including both her older child and the victim.
