NT woman dies in hospital one month after partner's horrific alleged assault
A woman has died in a Darwin hospital, a month after she was allegedly attacked by her male partner.
The 61-year-old woman was found by police with serious injuries at a home in Katherine East about 8.25pm on October 12, after a concern for welfare call.
Police said the woman was believed to have been assaulted sometime on the evening of Friday, October 11 — a full day before she was found.

Police confirmed she had died from her injuries in hospital on Thursday.
Her 68-year-old male partner, who allegedly assaulted another man who attempted to intervene in the assault, was arrested and remanded in custody, police said.
He is due to appear in Darwin Local Court on Saturday.
Detectives investigating the incident are calling for witnesses who may have seen or heard anything that can assist police with their inquiries.
