Award-winning news photographer John Grainger has been found dead after being reported missing on Tuesday.
Northern Beaches police launched a search for the 64-year-old after concerns were raised for his welfare by family and friends, who said his disappearance was out of character.
In a statement, the NSW Police said his body was found in Elanora Heights on Wednesday morning.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Public appeals had been circulating on social media — including by the Ingleside Rural Fire Brigade, which called him a friend of the brigade — to help locate Mr Grainger.
Mr Grainger had been a photographer for more than 30 years.
His accolades included a Walkley Award for snapping the first picture of Vicki Campion, who was pregnant with then-deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce’s baby.
He also took home a Kennedy Award in 2022 for a photo of Anthony Albanese on his porch the morning after he won the election.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
