‘More sides to every story’: Alleged killer cop Beau Lamarre-Condon to fight murder charges

Alleged killer cop Beau Lamarre-Condon’s lawyer said there are “more sides to every story” after the 29-year-old said he will fight charges that he murdered his former partner and the man’s new boyfriend.
It comes more than a year-and-a-half after the brutal alleged killings.
After Mr Lamarre-Condon entered not guilty pleas, lawyer Benjamin Archbold told reporters there are “more sides to every story”.

Mr Lamarre-Condon is accused of using his police firearm to kill the couple at a Paddington share house before placing their bodies in surfboard bags and taking them to a remote property in the NSW southern tablelands last February.
Mr Lamarre-Condon appeared in court through an audiovisual link on Tuesday morning to enter not guilty pleas.
He calmly replied to Deputy Chief Magistrate Theo Tsavdaridis’ questions and thanked him as the proceedings drew to a close.
“Thanks, Your Honor,” Mr Lamarre-Condon said as Mr Tsavadidis read out information about next steps.
He is due to reappear through an audiovisual link for arraignment on October 3.
His mother, Coleen Lamarre, supported her son in court on Tuesday, but did not respond to questions from reporters.
Mr Lamarre-Condon’s lawyer, Benjamin Archbold, said his client would have the opportunity to tell his story while speaking outside court.
“My client’s pleaded not guilty to all charges. As you’ll probably appreciate there are always more sides to every story, and we’ll have an opportunity to tell ours,” Mr Archbold said.
An officer involved in the investigation, Detective Sergeant Sasha Pinazza, sat in the John Maddison Tower courtroom during the proceedings on Tuesday.

Mr Lamarre-Condon is now on his third set of lawyers after switching his legal team out last month.
He was arrested last February, four days after the bodies of Mr Baird and Mr Davies were found at a property near Goulburn.
He was charged with two counts of domestic violence-related murder and one count of aggravated breaking and entering commit serious indictable offence people there, which he is expected to plead not guilty to.
The court was in May told that a forensic psychiatric report on Mr Lamarre-Condon had been received.

Mr Lamarre-Condon had been in a brief relationship with Mr Baird, with police alleging the former officer exhibited a pattern of “predatory” behaviour in the lead-up to the alleged double homicide.
While police allege Mr Lamarre-Condon planned to kill Mr Baird, they believe Mr Davies’ was a tragic, unplanned casualty.
Mr Lamarre-Condon has been dismissed from the NSW Police Force.
