Three of Sydney’s most iconic beachfronts have been smeared with graffiti as vandals sprayed the word, Hamas, on council structures at Bondi, Bronte and Tamarama.

Police have commenced investigations after patrols reported the graffiti in several locations late on Sunday night.

Listeners to Ben Fordham’s 2GB breakfast show sent images to support their police confirmation that the offensive working had been painted on the structures.

One listener wrote to Fordham to explain that his wife and son had taken it upon themselves to put red tape over the graffiti until the council cleaners can remove the wording.

At about 11pm on Sunday, officers attached to the Eastern Suburbs police area command located the graffiti on multiple structures and established a strike force to try and track down the perpetrators.
