Mount Isa: Police probing for clues after man dies from critical chest wound

Police are appealing for assistance after a man was found to have died from a serious wound to his chest inside a property in Queensland.

Detectives from the Mount Isa criminal investigation branch (CIB) are investigating after a man was found deceased in Mount Isa on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Arline Street in Townview just before 2pm, following reports a man had been located in a property with a critical wound.

A 28-year-old man was declared deceased at the scene soon after.

A crime scene was declared and investigations into the circumstances of his death are underway.
