Carlingford: Employee argument leads to man being stabbed multiple times inside restaurant

An alleged altercation between two men at a Carlingford restaurant has resulted in one being hospitalised.

A disagreement between employees has led to a frenzied attack and a man left with multiple stab wounds at a restaurant.

At about 2pm on Sunday, officers attached to Ryde police area command were called to Carlingford Road, Carlingford, following reports of a stabbing inside a restaurant.

Police were told two employees argued before one man allegedly stabbed the other man multiple times in his head, face and arms.

The 63-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for further treatment.

The 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He was taken to hospital under police guard for treatment for a minor injury to his head.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist officers.

The 46-year-old man was released from the hospital and taken to Gladesville Police Station where he was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court on Monday.
