Chris Baghsarian: Glenorie bushland searched after 85-year-old grandfather abducted in mistaken identity case
Police have resumed a bushland search as fears grow for Chris Baghsarian, allegedly abducted from his North Ryde home in what detectives believe was a case of mistaken identity.

Police will return to a bushland site in Sydney’s north-west as the desperate search continues for kidnapped grandfather Chris Baghsarian.
Concern is mounting for the 85-year-old, who was allegedly abducted from his North Ryde home on February 13.
Investigators have described the abduction as a case of mistaken identity, and say they are “a million per cent confident” about that, urging those responsible to release him.

Earlier, police combed a property in Dural amid suspicions the alleged offenders stayed there after the kidnapping.
A 2022 Toyota Corolla linked to that address was later located in Westmead last Tuesday.
Authorities have previously warned Mr Baghsarian’s health could deteriorate without his daily medication. Detective Acting Superintendent Andrew Marks admitted “hope was fading”.
“We have grave concerns for his safety, but we won’t give up trying to find him alive,” he said.
In a statement issued last week, Mr Baghsarian’s family said the devastating crime should have had “nothing to do with us”.
“Our family is living through a nightmare we never thought possible,” they said.
