Cooma: Driver charged with attempted murder after man allegedly run down with car in NSW

Months of police investigations have led to multiple charges, including attempted murder, being laid after a man was run down by a car.
A 22-year-old man will face court in New South Wales today with police alleging he tried to murder another man after failing to stop following the incident in the state’s south, earlier this year.
At about 1.30am on Saturday January 4, emergency services were called to Mittagong Road, Cooma following reports of the crash where they found a 23-year-old man suffering serious injuries after being hit by a car.

Queanbeyan police arrested and later charged the 22-year-old man with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, causing bodily harm by misconduct in charge of a motor vehicle, failing to stop and render assistance, not giving particulars to another driver and driving with a suspended licence.
Following further enquiries officers laid the further charge of attempted murder.
The accused man remains in custody and will re-appear in Queanbeyan Local Court on Wednesday.
