Doonside: Man in critical condition after being attacked by pack of dogs at home

A man has been rushed to hospital after suffering a vicious attack by a pack of dogs at his western Sydney home.

A man has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after suffering a vicious attack by a pack of dogs at his property.

The 54-year-old was listed as critical after the mauling by the animals, while at home in Sydney’s western suburbs.

Emergency services responded to the incident on Kildare Road, Doonside at around 11am on Thursday following reports of the attack.

The man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital.

Six dogs were seized from the property by Blacktown City Council rangers and police have launched an investigation into the incident.
