In Western Sydney, a manhunt is underway, after a security guard was stabbed. It happened at the Granville Diggers Club, shortly before 11pm.

A security guard allegedly stabbed multiple times by two men had only just helped the pair following a crash in Western Sydney, police say.

The guard, a 36-year-old man, was rushed to Westmead Hospital with serious injuries to his arm after he was allegedly attacked at the Granville Diggers on Memorial Dr in Granville about 10.40pm on Wednesday.

Police were told he “assisted” the drivers when they were involved in a two-vehicle crash outside the venue shortly before he was injured.

The guard is in a stable condition.

Detectives arrested two men aged 24 and 28 at a home in Auburn on Thursday, with clothing also seized for forensic testing.

Both have been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The men will appear at Parramatta Local Court on Friday.
