Home invasion hell: Eight men poured petrol inside a western Sydney property and shot the occupant twice
A group of up to eight masked men stormed a western Sydney home and shot a man in the leg before pouring petrol inside the residence in what police believe is a targeted event.
The violent home invasion happened around 12.45am today after reports filtered through to emergency services of a man being shot in a house on Mary Wade Place, Carnes Hill.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 25-year-old occupant for a gunshot wound to the right leg and he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The men were confronted by the 25-year-old man, a resident of the home before he was shot twice.
Petrol was then poured through the home, but not ignited, before the men left the location in two separate vehicles.
During the incident shotgun damage was sustained to a vehicle parked in the driveway of the home.
A crime scene has been established as investigations commence.
