A man has been charged after an alleged dispute between neighbours ended with two women suffering stab wounds.

All three people were injured and taken to hospital under police guard on the NSW Central Coast on Monday afternoon.

Emergency services rushed to Gossimer Close in Killarney Vale, about 100km north of Sydney, following reports of an altercation between three people believed to be known to each other.

“An alleged neighbour dispute ended with (a man) and two women suffering stab wounds,” a police spokesperson said.

One of the women, aged 23, was flown to John Hunter Hospital with critical injuries.

A 33-year-old woman was taken by paramedics to the same hospital in a serious condition.

“The man was arrested and taken to Gosford Hospital in a stable condition, where he remains under police guard,” a NSW Police spokesman said at the time.

Both women are now in stable conditions, police said on Tuesday morning.

Police have since charged the man with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (in company), possessing a prohibited drug, affray and driving while disqualified.

He was denied bail and is due to front Wyong Local Court on Tuesday.

A crime scene was established as police investigate the incident.
