An 11-year-old boy has been injured in a car crash in Sydney’s northwest.

The boy was riding his scooter when he collided with a red Corolla hatchback at McMahon Gr in Glenwood, near Blacktown, about 4.30pm on Wednesday.

The boy suffered serious head injuries.

Intensive Care Paramedics have rushed the boy to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, where he remains in a stable condition.

The 39-year-old female driver of the Corolla was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a negative result.
