Liverpool: NSW Police launch investigation after motorbike rider hits parked car and dies after pursuit

A man who evaded police at high speed on a motorbike has died after crashing into a parked car.
NSW Police initiated a critical incident investigation after the was killed following a pursuit and crash in Sydney’s western suburbs on Friday night.
Just before 2am police attempted to stop a motorcycle travelling southbound on the Hume Highway at Liverpool.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.When it failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated but the chase was terminated soon after on Flowerdale Road, due to safety concerns.
A short time later, the motorcycle was located on Flowerdale Road after crashing into a parked car.
The male rider was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however he died at the scene.
A critical incident team are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident which will be subject of an independent review by the Professional Standards Command and oversight by the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission.
