Police and emergency services worked feverishly to assist injured drivers after a horror head-on crash involving multiple vehicles in Sydney.

Just before 6am on Tuesday, emergency services were called to Richmond Road, Berkshire Park, following reports of the multi-vehicle crash.

Officers attached to Hawkesbury police area command attended and were told a sedan and a hatchback had collided head-on before an SUV subsequently crashed into the back of the hatchback.
