Man dies, six others hospitalised following medical episodes at Dreamstate festival in Sydney
One person remains in a critical condition.
A man has died and several people have been rushed to hospital after suffering medical episodes at a techno festival in Sydney.
The group were attending Dreamstate at Sydney Olympic Park when they fell ill around 11.30pm on Saturday.
A man in his 40s died at the scene while six other people were taken to hospital.

“A crime scene has been established, and police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” NSW Police said.

A spokesperson for NSW Health told 7NEWS.com.au the department offered its condolences to the family and friends of the man who died.
The spokesperson said NSW Health was committed to working closely with music festival organisers to ensure the environment was as safe as possible.
“A range of harm reduction initiatives are in place at festivals, including support and health promotion workers, health messaging, free chilled water, misting fans, chill-out spaces and well-equipped medical services.”
Dreamstate will be held in Melbourne on Sunday at Flemington Racecourse.
7NEWS.com.au has contacted the festival for comment.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
