Man faces court after allegedly throwing screwdriver that lodged in another man’s eye
A screwdriver allegedly hurled during an argument has left a man in hospital after it lodged in his right eye.
A man will face court after allegedly throwing a screwdriver that lodged in another man’s right eye during an argument on the NSW Mid North Coast.
Just after 6.30pm on Friday, two men, who were known to each other, were at a home in South Kempsey arguing, when the 35-year-old allegedly threw the screwdriver at the 34-year-old, before fleeing the scene.
The younger man was treated by paramedics before being taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital in a stable condition, then later flown to John Hunter Hospital.

He was refused bail and due to face court on Sunday.
