The incident unfolded at about 12.10pm on Thursday, when emergency services were called to a home on Teven Rd following a welfare concern. Officers searched the property before Mr Singh’s body was found in a creek.

The woman, who was arrested at the scene, was taken to Lismore Police Station for questioning before being assessed at Lismore Base Hospital.

She has since been charged with murder and is due to appear in court on Saturday.

Police allege the pair were known to each other, and the incident is being treated as a domestic violence offence.
