Marayong: Desperate search underway for missing woman after house fire in Sydney’s western suburbs
Emergency services are holding out hope of finding a missing woman after a fire tore through a property in Sydney’s western suburbs on Wednesday night.
Police are appealing for information to find the woman who has been reported as missing after the fire in Percy Street, Marayong.
Firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW were called to the scene at about 10.30pm before extinguishing the blaze with the house sustaining minor damage.

When a search of the home by firefighters failed to find the woman, officers from Riverstone Police Area Command initiated a search of the surrounding area, assisted by the PolAir, but she has not yet been found.
Police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen the missing woman, who is described as being of Caucasian, 167cm tall, 85kg, large build, fair complexion, and black hair.
She was last seen at the home two or three days ago and it’s unknown what she is wearing. Police have been told the woman may appear distressed or confused.
Firefighters have told police initial inquiries indicate the fire is not suspicious.
Scene of Crime Officers and specialist fire investigators are expected to examine the scene on Thursday.
