Hariet had last been seen on Ridell St in Molong at about 5pm on Tuesday, NSW Police said.

Police had serious concerns for Hariet’s welfare due to her young age and a health condition that requires regular medication.

However, late on Wednesday night, NSW Police said the worst fears had not come to pass.

“A toddler reported missing from Molong in the state’s central west has been found safe and well,” police said.

“Officers attached to Orana Western Police District report that the child was taken to Dubbo Police Station around 11pm today (Wednesday 13 August 2024).

Dubbo is 115km from Molong.

Police had stated the man thought to be with Hariet was aged in his 60s, caucasian, about 175cm tall, of a medium build, with short grey hair and brown eyes. The woman was described as being aged in her 30s, of caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of a thin build, with black hair and brown eyes.

“Inquiries surrounding the incident are ongoing,” said police suggesting the circumstances around the disappearance were still being looked into.
