A man has died in a single-vehicle crash in NSW’s Southern Tablelands.

The man, aged in his 80s, was a passenger in the vehicle travelling along Taralga Rd at Tarlo, north of Goulburn, when it left the road and struck a tree about 1pm on Wednesday.

Paramedics treated the man, but he died at the site of the crash.

The person behind the wheel was taken to hospital for mandatory testing. No injuries have been reported.

NSW Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash and urge anyone with relevant information to come forward.
