Police charge man with attempted murder after family stabbing frenzy
Police have confirmed that the three people involved in a horrific stabbing incident in the inner Sydney suburb of Marrickville on Thursday, are part of the same family and the alleged attacker will face attempted murder charges.
One of the three relatives, a 22-year-old man, was arrested at the scene and taken to Newtown Police Station for questioning.
He has since been charged with two counts of cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder and will appear in Newtown Local Court later today.

The man was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and is currently in critical condition.
A woman, aged 55, was also treated for a stab wound to the throat, before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and is in a stable condition.
Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
