Rider dies after being thrown from motorbike and sliding into ute on country NSW highway
A 68-year-old motorbike rider has died after colliding with a ute on a country highway.
Emergency services were called to the Newell Highway at about 5.15pm on Thursday and found the man had suffered critical injuries.
Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District reported the man was riding north when he was thrown from his motorcycle at the intersection of Troy Bridge Road and then slid into the ute.

The driver of the ute was taken to Dubbo Hospital for mandatory testing.
