Sydney ferries cancelled: Thick fog suspends all Sydney ferry services and disrupts flights, roads

Sydney was blanketed by thick fog on Monday morning, causing all ferry services to be suspended and major disruptions across the city.
“No Sydney ferries are running at all due to the heavy fog,” Sydney Ferries said on X, urging commuters to “make alternative travel arrangements.”
The dense fog reduced visibility so much that only the tops of skyscrapers were visible above the haze, and landmarks like the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Anzac Bridge could hardly be seen.

The Bureau of Meteorology issued a Road Weather Alert for all suburbs, warning that “reduced visibility in fog will make road conditions dangerous during Monday in all suburbs” and advising motorists to take extra care.
The fog is expected to lift later in the morning, with a forecast maximum temperature of 19C and only a slight chance of rain.
