Sydney rapper YC EWZY: Police release CCTV at Surry Hills service station in manhunt over alleged murder
Police have released new CCTV footage and are appealing for information to locate Sydney rapper Harley Johan, known as YC EWZY, in connection with an alleged fatal shooting at a Surry Hills service station.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant in September 2025 for the 31-year-old following the shooting of Niddal Acherkouk at the service station.
Police believe Johan has fled overseas. Authorities are also seeking a second man seen in CCTV footage, described as medium build, wearing a black Nike hooded jacket, blue track pants, and white and blue Nike runners.

Upon his return, he was allegedly ambushed by two masked gunmen, with one disguising himself with a poncho. The footage shows Mr Acherkouk running between fuel pumps as gunfire erupted.
Police found Mr Acherkouk suffering gunshot wounds at the scene on Cleveland Street, Surry Hills.
Despite efforts by paramedics, he died at the scene.
Investigators confirmed Mr Acherkouk was known to them with ties to Sydney’s underworld, reportedly linked to the Comanchero bikie gang, though not a patched member, and worked as a builder.
Police allege the attackers fled the scene, driving to Kensington, where they set a stolen Porsche on fire before escaping in another stolen white Audi hatchback.
The investigation is ongoing under Strike Force Moorlands.
