Sydney: Rideshare driver faces court over multiple alleged sex acts including one during trip with passenger
A rideshare driver has been charged over allegedly performing a sex act while a young female passenger was inside the vehicle.
A Sydney rideshare driver accused of committing multiple sexual acts will face court on Wednesday.
New South Wales Police launched an investigation after they received reports last Saturday that a rideshare driver had allegedly performed a sexual act on himself during a trip.
Police said in a statement that officers were told the alleged offending happened about 12.30pm on August 29 during a trip through Sydney’s CBD while a 23-year-old woman passenger was inside the vehicle.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.After investigating the incident, detectives arrested a 28-year-old man in Miller Point on Tuesday afternoon.
The man was later taken to Day Street Police Station after police carried out a search warrant at a home on Rangihou Crescent in Parramatta.
He has since been charged with three counts of carrying out a sexual act with another without consent and two counts of sexually touching another person without consent.
Police will also allege the man was involved in three other unrelated incidents of a similar nature between January and April 2026 in the Sydney CBD, Earlwood and Otford.
“These alleged incidents occurred outside of his occupation as a rideshare driver,” NSW Police said in a statement.
The man was refused bail.
