Police and paramedics tried to treat the boys.

“They were treated at the scene for serious stab injuries,” the statement said.

“A boy in his teens died at the scene and the other teenage boy was taken to hospital in a serious condition.”

Police said they had established crime scenes at both locations and that one person was arrested.

There were reports the teens were involved in an altercation on a bus before the stabbing.

Witnesses reportedly told police they saw a group of teenagers fighting on a bus before reports of the stabbing.

Police were reportedly speaking to five persons of interest.

Investigations are ongoing.
