Sydney train line shut down after two young men assaulted in broad daylight at Merrylands

Two young men have been assaulted in broad daylight at a busy Western Sydney train station, forcing a major line to be shut down.
The men, aged 21 and 24, were allegedly assaulted at Merrylands Train Station about 1.45pm on Wednesday.
Paramedics treated them at the scene before rushing both to hospital with minor arm injuries.

Police are now investigating the attack.
It comes about two weeks after a teenager was repeatedly stabbed at a bus stop near Merrylands Station.
The 16-year-old boy suffered multiple wounds to his neck and back during an altercation on September 1.
