The incident brought trains on the T5 Cumberland Line to a halt about 2pm “due to a police operation”, with services resuming shortly before 3pm.

Police are now investigating the attack.

It comes about two weeks after a teenager was repeatedly stabbed at a bus stop near Merrylands Station.

The 16-year-old boy suffered multiple wounds to his neck and back during an altercation on September 1.
