Taree: Firefighters rushed to hospital after truck rollover during response to electrical fire

A firetruck en route to an electrical fire on the mid-north coast of NSW has rolled in a horror crash leaving six firefighters with varying issues including head injuries.

All of the occupants of the truck were rushed to hospital after the rural fire service truck rolled as it tried to get to a reported electrical fire in a structure at Kundle Kundle, north-east of Taree on Sunday afternoon.

Six men and women aged between 19 and 45 were in the travelling in the vehicle at the time suffered injuries with the most serious being a man with a broken arm, leg, shoulder and head injuries.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.

His injuries are not considered life threatening.
