Three passengers have died following a single vehicle crash at Tarago, about 40km south of Goulburn.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Bungendore and Collector roads about 1.10pm on Sunday, after reports a vehicle left the road and rolled over.

A man and two women were found trapped in the car, which remained on its roof. All three died at the scene.

The driver, a man aged in his 20s, was able to get out of the vehicle unassisted and has been taken to Canberra Hospital with minor injuries. He will also undergo mandatory blood tests.

Specialist crash officers are conducting inquiries and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

Bungendore Road remains closed between Collector Road and the Kings Highway, and north to the Tarago township. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Witnesses are urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
