A video shared on TikTok captured the chaos as an innocent bystander walking to an escalator was struck in the back by a flying chair while trying to flee.

“Imagine if one of the chairs flew over the rails, down the levels, could kill a child,” one user commented on the video, which has now amassed over 1.5 million views.

One of the teens allegedly involved is even seen riding an e-bike inside the shopping centre.

Police have now arrested and charged two 15-year-olds and one 16-year-old with affray.

All three boys were refused bail and will appear in court on Friday.

Inquiries into the incident continue and further arrests are anticipated.
