Their bodies appear to have been at the location “for a considerable amount of time”, NSW Police said.

The pair is believed to be a mother and son who had lived in the home for many years but had not answered calls for about five weeks, as reported by The Daily Telegraph.

The outlet reports the son, who was caring for his elderly mother, is suspected to have died first.

His mother is believed to have died some time later.

A crime scene has been established and investigations are underway.
