Two more inmates charged over alleged involvement in prison child abuse ring known as ‘The Pack’

Two more inmates have been charged over their alleged involvement in a sickening child abuse ring known as ‘The Pack’ that police say was being run out of a NSW prison.

Strike Force Edits detectives say the prisoners were part of a group that allegedly shared letters amongst themselves detailing the sexual abuse of children and plans to offend against children in the future.

Jessica Isabelle Rose, 31, a transgender woman formerly known as Dean Angus Bell, was charged in August with allegedly directing the group from inside the men’s prison. She remains before the court.

Detectives arrested a 56-year-old man at Junee Correctional Centre on August 15 and later charged him with six counts of possess child abuse material, five counts of disseminate child abuse material, two counts of produce child abuse material and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

He was refused bail in Wagga Wagga Local Court on August 16 and is due to appear before the same court on October 30.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at Junee Correctional Centre on September 17 and later charged with produce child abuse material, disseminate child abuse material, possess child abuse material and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

He has been refused bail and is due to appear before the same court on November 6.
